Tonight was a sad time for us, as we lost our onery sweet ole mare. Carmel touched so many kids and was a great asset to Valkyrie. Many visitors had the very first ride on her, she tolerated kids painting her, grooming her, inexperienced riders and gave my family so many happy memories. Rest in peace my sweet girl you will be forever loved and missed💞. She went peacefully with the veterinarian and her family with her.
Things are still in limbo as we are actively seeking our forever home but we are still shooting for a spring/summer reopening.
Sorry for the delay in updates. I do you have to share a HUGE congratulations to Sophie who birthed her first son Sunday morning! Mommy and baby are doing well. I will keep things quiet in case she has another awaiting a debut. 💕

Read MoreIt is with a sad and heavy heart that due to lack of donations and the current inability to to lock in our lease, Valkyrie will be temporarily closed.
We will be doing some fundraisers in the upcoming months as we try to find another property. As of now we will be re-homing and finding places to bord our therapy animals, as well as searching for an out reach to provide riding lessons to our community.
We have enjoyed the friendships we have made and the children's lives that have been touched by what we do here, we will not be closed for good, but until we can get reestablished. Please continue to follow us on our search.
Thank you to each of you that have supported us, visited with us and watched us grow. It has been an amazing 2 years!

We were sad to see Reba go, but she will be a great working horse for her new mom. Our pecking order will be reestablishing this week now that Cole is in with his girls. Of coarse Caramel is infatuated! We will be closed this week and next so he has time to adjust. Thank-you!

Therapy Visits and Tours
Monetary donations are welcome and appreciated but not necessary. Donations can come in many forms, fruits or veggies you won't use, crackers (the goats and sheep love them), a bag of feed, or a bale of grass. Also, Big R does gift cards. Anything you may throw out many animals love such pumpkins and Christmas trees after the holidays. If you can't donate don't worry, the animals love and need company.
Birthday parties are the only exception and require a minimum of a $30 donation.
